To improve the quality of education in government schools, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced the Apna Vidyalaya Program Scheme. Under this scheme, all MPs, ministers, MLAs, and senior officers have adept at least one government school and work as mentors of that school which helps to improve the education quality and also brings a positive environment to the school.
This ensures that government schools receive the support and resources necessary to provide quality education to all students. Currently, we can see the craze and education quality in private schools is rapidly increasing every school, so parents also send their children to private schools. To improve the education level and facilities in government schools, the Himachal government brought this scheme.

Apna Vidyalaya Program Scheme is brought to create a collaborative positive environment in the schools. These mentors will closely work with teachers and school management. Mentors also ensure that the schools under their care have access to essential resources and a conducive learning environment. This mentorship program extends to education department officials, including those in the secretariat and directorate, deputy directors, district program officers, coordinators of district education and training institutes, principals, and officials from the State Education Council research and training, and the Himachal Pradesh school education board.

This also brings healthy competition among the govt. people. The school that brings the best academic results will get rewards from the education department of Himachal Pradesh.
