PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 Apply Online Link is now available on this page. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has launched a manifesto to release Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 to provide housing facilities to one crore urban poor and middle-class families.
According to the update released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now permanent houses worth more than one crore will be provided to the citizens of urban areas with an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore. Many citizens were left out in the previous list released under the scheme, so now to benefit them even more, the (PMAY) Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 Registration 2024 process has been started.
PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0
The Government of India has issued orders to start PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 to provide permanent housing facilities to the poor citizens of urban areas. To avail of housing assistance under this scheme, citizens will have to go to the official website i.e. https://pmaymis.gov.in/ and submit their application form. According to the new budget, now central assistance of Rs 2.2 lakh crore will be provided in five years for housing to economically unstable families, and housing needs of Rs.10 lakh crore will be met.
Rs.4,000 crore has been allocated by the government for the PMAY(U) CLSS component so that housing facilities can be provided to all the needy. This time, three crore additional houses will be built in rural and urban areas and information about withdrawal of interest-backed subsidy has been issued. Loans for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), and Middle Income Group will be availed under this budget. Rs.3,000 crores will be spent mainly for EWS and LIG groups and Rs.1,000 crore for middle-income groups to build houses under CLSS.

Eligibility Criteria
- Benefits will be given to Indian permanent resident citizens.
- Only people of EWS, LIG, and middle-income groups will be given housing facilities.
- Annual family income for all citizens has been fixed at Rs.3 lakh for EWS, Rs.6 lakh to Rs.lakh for MIG-1, Rs.3 lakh to Rs.6 lakh for LIG, Rs.12 Lakh to Rs.18 Lakh for MIG – 2.
- Citizens who do not have permanent residence are eligible to apply.
