Reproductive And Child Health Programme 2024
In 1997, the Indian government followed the international recommendation on reproductive and child health. It aims to reduce the mortality rates of mothers, infants and children and targets to reduce the Maternal Mortality Ratio from 60 (State Report) to 55, the Infant Mortality Rate from 34 (NFHS-3) to 25 and the total Fertility Rate from 2.9 (NFHS-3) to 2.5.
