The Defense Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW) has issued a notification to start Yudh Samman Yojana 2024 for the soldiers of the country who displayed their bravery in the Indo-Pak war of 1965 and 1971. After about 50 to 55 years, the central government has decided to honour all those soldiers who have received medals like Summer Service Star, Eastern Star, or Western Star during the service and now detailed data of all brave soldiers and civilians, SSCOs / ECOs, Regular Commissioned Officers has been sought under which they will be given one-time financial assistance.
